Living in Hawaii and spending our days at the beach, my daughter, Kaili came to me with a simple but brilliant idea... a towel skirt you can wear straight out of the water, wrap up in, and head home or to the store with ease.

So I got to work. Then her friends wanted one. Then their friends wanted one. And just like that, a simple idea became something much bigger.

13 years ago, my mother, who was a home economics teacher, taught me to sew. I've been a professional seamstress for over 40 years, pouring love and craftsmanship into every stitch. I've made everything from wedding dresses to upholstered furniture. It allowed me to stay home while we raised our children, and now, as a proud grandma, the sewing room continues to call me back.

In honor of my father, who wrote me daily love notes, Aloha Notes came to be. With every order comes a reminder of how important you are, how special you are, and how much you are loved.
